once could argue it even violates the 8th amendment.
i'd say it absolutely does. it says that the federal government (and state governments, as ruled by the SCOTUS) can't impose cruel or unusual punishments for crimes. if a state says that their CITIZENS can impose cruel or unusual punishments, it is essentially the same thing.

also you may have legitimate psychopathy if you manage to equate vandalizing a statue and death. like what the forget.

A. It's a LAW.
The Law is a deterrent, it's meant to keep people away from defacing these statues.

Extreme Consequences will keep these crimes scarce.
what else can we charge with death? shoplifting? drug use? prostitution?

oH BoY, Oh bOY! It's finally happened.
I've been hit with the "you're a fascist" line!

Alright so listen, it's not totalitarian because it's not enforcing a law that's unfair
that's not what totalitarianism is.

Alright so listen, it's not totalitarian because it's not enforcing a law that's unfair,

yeah the solution to destroying property being manslaughter is 100% fair man

Maybe the whole giving everyone a gun and telling them to play cop is a bit dangerous of a line of thought,

no stuff dude, you're clearly underestimating this. being the vigilante here is probably the most deluded thing in this case, at least cops know what they are loving doing

Alright so listen, it's not totalitarian because it's not enforcing a law that's unfair, it's quite fair to not go around destroying public or private property for any reason, if you want it down start a petition, idk do the american thing have a vote, I can't argue against a statue being taken down via vote, but if your going around pulling stuff down illegally, get forgeted.
im pretty sure having a law allowing to have someone killed over a statue being taken down is atleast a lil fascist lol, like just send them to jail or some stuff theres a reason we have prisons

you shouldnt be able to shoot someone over drawing richards on a statue lmao, thats forgeted up
its not even self defense in any way, it's just giving people an excuse to commit murder

yeah the solution to destroying property being manslaughter is 100% fair man
It's mercy killing for anyone that handicapped tbh.
This is a joke btw, don't start thinking you have a gotcha, pustafar.

>Cops know better than Vigilante justice
>Cops are dangerous and Unhinged in America, they have too much power

i'm planning a mercy killing right now, matt

Far as I'm concerned if you can't respect public or private property and refrain from intentionally defacing it then you're actively making a decision to get shot in the face if someone catches you.

Your concerns are promptly noted and discarded. Vigilante justice is never something law enforcement should promote, especially for public vandalism cases. It doesn't matter what your fee-fees are about the stuffty statues, it's a bad loving idea.

It's mercy killing for anyone that handicapped tbh.

See, this is why nobody takes you seriously.

It was a joke, it's not meant to be taken seriously, ffs.

can we organize a mercy killing for matthew

can we organize a mercy killing for matthew

it's the right thing to do

>Cops are dangerous and Unhinged in America, they have too much power

if you really think i side with this or have sided with this at all you're completely wrong

i'd actually take a cop over an angry texan forgetboy tbh

itt: people rationalize murder

if you really think i side with this or have sided with this at all you're completely wrong
police have more legal protections than the average citizen, so they are literally the most powerful group of people in the country, legal wise. probably a second behind oil company CEOs

officers have the legal right to shoot you for pulling a wallet out of your pocket. name someone else who has that amount of power. even soldiers have less rights, and killing a civilian purposefully or accidentally will get you charged with war crimes

>i'm sick of not being taken seriously!
>i was just joking, you weren't supposed to take me seriously!

maybe the police and random people shouldn't loving shoot vandals

It doesn't matter what your fee-fees are about the stuffty statues

My feefees have nothing to do with it you bushel of baby richards
I have no personal stake in this, I don't own any statues, all I'm saying is, if someone is going breaking public property I don't consider getting shot for it too far out of the question. And like I said, if I wrote the law I would impose stricter conditions under which lethal force is authorized, because people shouldn't be able to just blow someone's brains out over a richard on a statue or whatever. I am 100% behind the principles behind the law, but I know it'd be a stuff show to implement in it's current form. As fun as it'd be it's not something we could reasonable enforce.

As fun as it would be.

Actually this law would be great if it was only allowed for the police
