The government can be trusted to regulate immigration because it's not a hard concept to grasp
But we can't trust them to regulate the healthcare marketplace and expand coverage to poor people? To me it sounds like the whole 'scope of government' side of Republican politics hinges entirely on whether brown people are involved. Hence why the whole second amendment debate conveniently goes quiet when Philando Castile gets shot down for knowingly informing a police officer that he's a concealed carrier. "Oh, but he smoked some weed so all his rights as a gun owner are null and void."
There's no amendment to the constitution saying we should give amnesty to illegals and there should not be one
>99% of laws have nothing to do with the constitution. There is no amendment to the constitution saying that you can only go 15 mph in a school zone. But we trust the government to do that because it makes moral and logical sense. Unless laws are in direct contradiction with existing constitutional amendments, then they're fair game. DACA and other immigration reforms fall plainly in that category until SCOTUS rules that they're unconstitutional.
quite frankly, that's rewarding people for dipping their hand into the cookie jar instead of waiting until dessert like everyone else.
Except for the fact that DACA recipients had no conscious choice in the matter?
