Self defense cases are very closely examined so it's safe to say that 95% of legitimate self defense killings are properly handled. The other 5% are probably false accusations or lack of evidence.

They basically examine every loving aspect of the crime scene to the last molecule, so it's extremely hard to fake a self-defense case.

Disarming a firearm from an active shooter is unrealistic. Unless you're trained in some secret service Filipino martial arts, you'll be shot before you can even reach for the gun

This isn't a movie, pie crust. The shooter has the upper hand in any fight, and can probably pull the trigger before the gun even gets moved safely away from you.

Keep in mind a gunshot wound to ANY part of the body will incapacitate you, which will leave you in the perfect position to get murdered.
