Author Topic: [NEWS] Kim Jong-un vows nuclear restraint; seeks normalization with USA, China  (Read 102086 times)

The cold war still technically hasn't ended yet. There were no official peace treaties.
Because there was no official declaration of war.

Alright so not naming any Pearl Harbor conspiracies.

Yes Japan was kicking our ass during Pearl Harbor. Yes Japan probably would have defeated the US or got close to it if we didn't nuke them, twice.

Russia was too busy with Germany to worry about Asia. Germany was attacking Russia in June and Japan was attacking Pearl Harbor in December.

So I'm right?

Also by the timeframe we're discussing, soviet troops were chasing national socialists across europe pillaging the conquered lands all the way until Berlin. Russia would have had no problem sending the troops to Asia after meeting at Rhein river with the allied troops and securing Berlin.

Also you cant have peace treaties if wars were never signed.

Edit:
Also you underestimate how hard it is to defeat a country. Landing on a coast is extremely risky and difficult and advancing through foreign militarized territory against the native people is even more-so.

Earthquake machines were the plot of ArmA 3, which basically means that artificial earthquake technology is real.

say what.

say what.
Exactly my point. The US is so extremely vast, with a strong military and was still untouched by the WW.

You really really need to go back to school, or pick up a history book.

The US nuked Japan at the end of the war. Japan was already losing the war in the pacific. It was 3 months after the national socialists had surrendered.
Japan would not have been capable of defeating the US, or even getting close at the time the US nuked them.

Japanese firearms and overal lack of decent weaponry (besides their blades) is why they would never have beaten us in WWII

the american and german firearms weren't much better. Also, technology only makes up a small percentage of the edge an army has.

Seriously, the japanese had slightly less modern guns than us, and that somehow means they were doomed to lose? You really need to learn some Sun Tzu

anime is revenge from japan for nuking them

that's fair enough, but the oil-starved Japanese had some serious problems keeping their motor vehicles going. besides that, the quality of their tanks were the way below the americans. strategy plays a big part of course, but inferior weaponry matters quite a bit.

They perfected kamikaze technology.

They perfected kamikaze technology.
Not really a technology, more of a mindset

They perfected kamikaze technology.
I dunno, I've heard that Islamic terrorists have revolutionized the tactic
