Is it really that bad compared to low?
I have 70-90 pretty much every day and I don't see a problem. There are times where I fire and die instantly after and the replay doesn't show me firing.
don't exactly quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure technically, in a fair fire fight where two people shoot effectively at the exact same time, the person with the lowest ping's shot will register first due to the server receiving their packets of data before the other players. however, your client will still play the sound effect of you shooting, which can make you think you shot first. I'm pretty sure this is the problem you've mentioned, and can make awping especially difficult as if you miss, you can't exactly have a quick follow up shot.
honestly dude, ping is like the exact opposite of frame rate. once you experience that super low ping and see how smooth and concise everything feels, you really don't wanna have to go back to 80 - 100ms. currently due to my isp putting me on an interleaved profile (rather than fastpath), my ping is quite a lot higher than it usually is, which does make the game kinda harder to play, especially when I have opponents with ping less than 10ms.
