In cases like these, it's not even worth discussing if nobody has been indicted and there isn't any seriously damning evidence pointing one way or another. On one hand, if you defend the rapist and they're guilty, you're an starfish for presuming that the victim was lying. On the other hand, if you assume that an innocent person is a rapist, you're committing a character assassination that will follow them around for their entire life.
