consoles right? i mean there are so many mods for pc skyrim, no official graphics update could ever compare lol
I have no doubt that any HD rerelease won't match the mods produced over the last 5 years.
But there's a far larger market who can afford a console than who can afford the PCs that play super-modded skyrim (not to mention it's not so many who can be bothered spending the time to download, order and troubleshoot 200 mods).
I think there's some merit to the remaster happening though, particularly because there has been no effort made for 360 Skyrim to be added to the backwards compatable catalogue for Xbox One, despite it being highly requested.
It would make sense that Bethesda would hold off on the back-compat (which I believe is handled almost entirely by Microsoft), if they're planning on selling a version of the game on current gen. The fact that Fallout 3 is already back-compat, and was one of the first to be, means that Bethesda have no qualms about it, so if they're holding out on Skyrim it's presumably for financial reasons.
