I think opposite - I think Nintendo is super worried this year, so much so that they don't really even want to talk about anything else. I mean they are essentially on like their last legs here financially. They don't wanna talk about NX, they don't wanna talk about third party support, they don't wanna talk about the new Pokemon among other things because I think they're just not ready to really spill the beans, which stinks because there is definitely a lot of things they can talk about. And if they aren't ready or whatever, that's fine, but then they'd be better off not showing up if it really is what we've been speculating.
True, it definitely could be that they're trying to play it safe this year with Zelda. Even though Nintendo still has a ton of money in the bank from the money era, if they forget up with NX by making the same exact mistakes as they did with the Wii U then I don't why anyone would ever want to develop for one of their home consoles again ever after that. In a odd way I am looking towards Nintendo's conference a little more than the others because I have no idea how this new Zelda is going to turn out or whatever else they're going to do.
In rumour mill news, Nintendo have just announced a new IP, here's the trailer. Could Nintendo show this off at E3? Gameplay looks good.
But it's not a new IP from Nintendo, it's a PS Vita game from last year that's also getting a release on the PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U this year.
