Author Topic: ideas on how to gain more players  (Read 15466 times)

(I clicked on this thread thinking that this was about getting more players on your server)

I'd say more advanced survival servers. For example, put in more weapons for variety and some fun ones as well. That way, the game won't have the same amount of weapons every time. I'd also put in some items as well, such as the prop tool and having brick damage to make the game more difficult.

me and a couple people spent a long while trying to think of a cool new freebuild idea, which revolved around getting points from what you build and using those points to build in new areas etc, but it was abandoned simply because it felt too complicated, and since the areas you could build in were all closed off, we thought it would make players feel restricted and it also kinda spreads people out a bit, getting rid of the 'talking and chilling with friends' factor out of it, making it pretty identical to singleplayer building, but even worse.

infact the house freebuild (freebuild where you build in a giant modter house) we were hosting had this same issue, and that's also why we closed it down. it just kept people too far away from eachover and it didn't feel as multiplayer as it could've been, and people seemed to get bored of the whole idea pretty quickly.

now I've just 'given up' and I'm just hosting regularish freebuilds every once in a while, whenever I feel like doing it

open source, official community-originated updates, new features, and a new developer(s)

it sounds like a [badspots] block party would be needed
they were popular

reminds me of wizzards dog fight but more ships

whether or not the battleships are vehicles or builds will determine the real "style" of the game

they would be vehicles

What about cityRPGs and how it feels like they're stealing away all the players from the better servers?

why jontron in particular

make quality servers
Issue: mediocre clickbait servers that steal players.

When I go onto the master server looking for a server to play, I usually always quit out and go play another game like CSGO. All I see is

Freebuild
Free build
City RPG
Free build
Some other mini game that is actually good, but it isn't populated, so I don't join
CityRPG

Long story short, our servers suk.
