This is literally just completely incorrect. They spawn at level 4 sentinel alert. I almost got my ass kicked by one because I stole a bunch of gravintino balls and didn't stop to right or run. There's a mod that makes them spawn at random too

If you're not far enough in the game, level 3 sentinel alerts are the highest and it's just endless drones rather than a quad and two drones. No detection meter. That may be what he's experiencing.

Well no. You can encounter them on any planet. I'm just not sure at what point the max alert level changes.

How do you know?

Worms W.M.D randomly generates stages, but that doesn't mean that the basic gameplay is any different.

Every planet in No Mans Sky AFAIK has all the resources you need. Every planet has animals and NPCs. There's little variation outside of anything else, but color and what shape the bushes are.
