Author Topic: who's gettin civ 6??  (Read 11939 times)

Holy stuff yesssss, me and my friend have always wanted to do a multiplayer game with mods, I guess this is our chance.

yeah i'm sure it probably will have workshop support since they already did that for civ v and they made a point to talk about modding briefly.

hope we hear more within the next week or so
That's good news, we'll definitely see some mod tools not too long after release then.

I'm still just super iffy about the pricetag,  GMG isn't even discounting it yet.  I'm not Jewish but I don't want to spend more than $40 on a game unless I really feel my soul tugging towards it, and Civ6 isn't really doing it for me.

gorgo is another leader for greece wo

also i apparently missed pericles in the op somehow so here's the first greek leader https://youtu.be/VSCTlpEM9Vw

pretty neat idea, i wonder how many other civs have multiple leaders like this

woah what theyre bringing back alternate leaders
thats rad
they should make richard nixon available for america

they should make richard nixon available for america

i am rich nix and i approve of this

Roosevelt is already America's modern leader so I'd think they'd pick an older one if any.

they should make Riddler a leader for germany

they should make Riddler a leader for germany
mods are better for this, as they can make gas chambers replace factories and have the Tiger replace modern armor.

waiting for a sale cause its 50 quid.

I'm fine with civ III teehee

they'd probably stick lincoln in or something for an alternate america leader

wish they'd pick taft

I'm gonna wait until a day after release to play it, just so I can gauge how many bugs are being shipped with it, to see if it's better to wait for a sale or not.

the preview build that people have been getting has had some minor bugs that i imagine will be fixed prior to release

stuff like this:

other than that there are some things that i hope they tweak a little bit, the biggest thing being that i think they need to make it more obvious when a unit can be promoted since that works differently from civ v now. because promoting a unit now requires movement, you have to choose to promote by using a "promote" button, and the only time it prompts you to promote is with a notification that's frankly easy to miss and won't re-appear. maybe making the promotion button flash or something would be a good idea, cus everyone i've seen play so far has frequently gone a fairly long time not noticing they can promote a unit that they're actively using.

also razing currently works instantly and you can only do it on the turn you capture the city, which i think is a pretty bad idea. would defo prefer that to stay the same as civ v.

it seems like it's stable from what i've seen in singleplayer, hopefully multiplayer will work leagues better than civ v but i haven't looked at any multiplayer gameplay yet
