seems like they did a pretty excellent job for sales, and that's pretty awesome.

maybe it'll be possible to implement a dualboot thing with kodi or another media center application

What's really going to kill the switch is the storage size. If people thought 500 gb was too small for the PS4, 32gb on the switch is really small.

You can get a switch with nothing included but 32GB of memory for 300 dollars.

You'll have to run out and buy a 64gb card eventually.

So 300 dollars becomes 324 dollars.

Meanwhile the PS4 you just bought will stay at 258 dollars for a long time because there is no need to upgrade.

The PS4 is less than 4 years old. - Sells new for 258 - 300 dollars. 500+ GB and usually comes with a free game.

The Wii-U is less than 5 years old.  - Sells for 349 dollars REFURBISHED 32GB and a free mario kart game, woo!

In order to compete in the console wars you have to meet demand by price and games.

Nintendo switch is more expensive than a PS4, has less memory, less games and only thing people may consider buying it for is the first party IPs.

Not to mention it's strongly advised to buy screen cleaners, screen protectors, carrying cases and bigger memory cards as this is a portable device that will break more easily than a console. The actual price with all the accessories together will jump this system to over 400 dollars.
