Author Topic: Nintendo Switch Presentation - January 12th  (Read 184776 times)

There were 12 launch games for the NA (Not sure about PAL or JP regions). Any other games such as the NeoGeo games, Voez, etc. have been added from the past couple of days after launch.
Their release dates said 03/03/2017, I'm sure of it

the switch's launch is underwhelming, and i'm pretty sure everyone already knew this. tho idk where this idea that the switch is supposed to be a "value console" came from. comparing the switch to home consoles like the playstation and xbox is also a little strange considering they target slightly different markets. for all intents and purposes, the switch is a portable device that has the added bonus of providing HDMI passthrough so you can hook it up to an external display, while the PS4 and xbox one are designed to be stationary horsepower boxes that don't have to worry about having a built-in display, batteries, and reasonable thermals for a small, hand-held form factor. you'll always pay higher for a portable device of the same specs as a tower-type device because a portable device has to take these things into consideration, and all that costs money to develop and produce.

There is many people in this thread alone that claimed this is a "value console" and that it's cost efficient.

Like, no it's not. lol

Already costs more than a PS4 and optional accessories will bring it from 300 to 400 or 500 easily.

Doesn't change the fact it's more expensive than a PS4 without accessories.

i haven't personally seen that claim, and if people are saying it, i wouldn't really agree with them, but most people i've seen are complaining that things like the pro controller and stuff are so expensive and that there's no packed-in game.

but it still targets a diff slightly market than the ps4 and has to deal with the additional costs inflicted from it being a portable console (built in screen, battery, etc.)

Normally I'd agree with you. Except this is an article showing the prices of varying accessories (which you can double check)

Not even known fake news outlets can really turn this into biased bullstuff.

You give me stuff for not posting sources then give me stuff for posting a source. #WhichBlockchip.

You're calling an article biased for shopping on an online loving catalogue.

anyway happy mar10 day
