No, those are the recommended specs. These are the bare minimum specs for PCSX2:
Again, if you want it to run smoothly and naturally you need a beefy pc. I have a comp with an i7 4700mq, and a gt 740m and I'm lucky if games on there run at least half the speed they should, and its well above reccomended

The switch has the same architecture as used by pc.

if it's true that it will be running the nvidia tegra or something similar it would be arm architecture, used by phones and other stuff like that

may i ask you why you are so attached? people are going to have different opinions from yours, but it wont stop you from enjoying what you like

Then something is bottlenecking you, because I get fine 1080p 60fps performance on most ps2 games on an i5-4690 and gtx 970. I know the gpu is beefy but it runs just as well on intel HD graphics.

@Anybody we already have android emulators (that are stuff thb, but will get better) so the base is already made

Weird

pcsx2 with the settings on default

you have a laptop of some sort, right?

yeah, toshiba satellite s55a with the i7 4700mq, nvidia gt740m, 12gb of ram and 1tb hdd

some opinions are stupid however
if you cannot either look up info to make a proper and valid argument then your opinion is flawed
although if their brain thinks that way then that just is that way for them
also.. psst.. im joking...

is it how old?
did you upgrade to win 10?
did you install a 4gb stick of ram in the second ram slot, to bring it up to 12gb?

idk got it last christmas from pawn shop with brand new install of windows 8.1, no modifications at all and I dont like windows 10

yep

lmao, the whole "the switch automatically sucks because of framerate/resolution and you should emulate nintendo games instead!!!1!" argument is so stuffty and flawed in every way
So true, I hate when someone says "why buy consoles when you have emulators on PC!!?"

The switch has the same architecture as used by pc.
I want to see the proof of this.

The only thing we know about the Switch's internals is that it's running a custom version of the NVIDIA Tegra X1, which is ARM-64, not X86. You're bullstuffting out of your arsehole right now.

EDIT: forget, other people got to it before I did. Point still stands though.

The ps2 has less power than the Switch yet it takes a very loving beefy pc just to emulate it smoothly. The switch is a hell of a lot more powerful than it, so that along with the software will make it hell to emulate at all

And yet emulating the Wii doesn't require a beefy PC and the Wii U emulator is already playable.
