I will be infuriated if a smartphone app is required
it'll definitely be needed for a good number of the features, but worst case scenario you can easily get an android emulator like bluestacks and use it that way. i doubt a smartphone will be necessary for normal online play without a party tho

The truth is out there.
bringing this back onto this page

that is not even bad at all.

hot damn i'd be willing to pay $30 a year for online services that's a great price.

did u forget this

unity is a big forgeter here, unreal will also be on switch

and the fact that it's running on an nvidia tegra with ARM architecture and reggie even acknowledged third-party issues on the wii u and talked about being more friendly to third party devs
havok? that's the physics engine Source uses, isn't it?
HALF-LIFE THREE CONFIRMED

Also, Tt is always publishing on Nintendo consoles. They make all the LEGO games.

Fun fact: LEGO Worlds runs on the same engine as the other LEGO videogames, IIRC.

Many games use Havok, Resident Evil 7 did

Havok, much like PhysX, is a Physics Engine Middleware produced by Havok Inc., and has been used in MANY games and engines under license.

Did you know that Tt Games (and its sister companys, Tt Publishing, Tt Fusion and Tt Animation) are owned by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment? That acquistion happened way back in 2007, and they're the main reason Tt does multiplatform releases and pushed hard for LEGO Dimensions.

And no, Tt games does NOT make all the LEGO games. They have made a lot of them, but many other companies have produced lots of other LEGO titles. Tt is just the most recognisable for the low quality chaff they pump out.

Their relationship with Nintendo is due to the exclusive deal they pulled back in 2011-ish to get LEGO City Undercover as a Wii U exclusive. loving bollocks.

Wrong. It uses a highly modified variant under active development, hence why modding process has been so incredibly slow. The developers are constantly changing the format and obfuscation/encryption patterns for the *.DAT files.

i guess ill nudge this because im still too curious about things

So will Splatoon 2 have Splatfests? I swear if it doesn't I'll be so pissed.
