unlike all of you i was a very smart kid and rarely ever did bullstuff. why?
well one i was smarter than that and 2 spanking taught me i can get punished for my actions
not fear of spanking but fear of punishment at all.
that punishment doesn't have to be spanking. from a perspective of operant conditioning, it's just one example of negative punishment, which is just one method of conditioning anyways. you can also take away something desirable as punishment, or reward someone by taking away something bad or giving them something good. or, most likely, a good parent is going to use a combination of all of these. spanking is just an easy way to scare your kiddos into line. nobody's saying it can't work, but that doesn't make it
right.
