yeah price is definitely steep but it's really fun

only major complaint is the forgetin display goes from tiny window to fullscreen
like cant i just have a bigger window

edit: nvm you can sorta drag the window to resize it

From what I hear, the combat system is like a rock paper scissor type thing? Can someone confirm, I wanna get into the game but I don't know if i'll like the combat.

basically, when someone attacks, they choose to bring their weapon in from either the top, left, or right, and the other person has to quickly match that stance to block it

it's a lot deeper than that though, there's all sorts of combos and guard breaks and stuff that was touched so briefly in the tutorial that it completely flew over my head

I could see myself getting into it but right now I don't see it being worth more than 40 bucks

there's unblockable attacks that you have to dodge, but i don't think the conqueror has any unblockable attacks using the flail

whenever they attack, you'll notice the red arrow from their direction grow and shine. do a heavy attack when you see that and it will parry the attack

If the conqueror holds his heavy attack long enough, it'll do more damage and partially damage through blocks

I spent like 5 minutes trying my hardest to get the timing right on parrying and despite my best efforts to press the button at every conceivable millisecond during the time the arrow is on screen, I barely managed to get the 3 I needed to proceed in the tutorial

5 more minutes later I managed to get 1 more parry and decided that it must be some kind of frame-perfect, last resort thing and stopped trying

I guess I just don't have the reflexes required for this game
