As per the OP, LucasArts/Disney registered the trademark "Rivals" as a Star Wars title, and we know that both Respawn Entertainment and Visceral Games are working on new Star Wars games. DICE is definitely on Battlefront 2.

You would think, but these are AAA companies we're talking about, no telling if they'd learn from their mistakes. Good to be optimistic though.
