I'm a bit surprised by how cheap everybody else is
For a game to be the replacement of all other games, I expected people to be willing to pay a lot for it
The thing is.
Even if it were the most perfect game in the world. And would blow all my expectations off the planet. I wouldn't know it until after I paid for it.
And judging it based on what other people say. Well. I don't need to explain that.
So, whether or not it's the perfect game that I would enjoy the most or not. I don't feel comfortable paying more than 60. And even then, I'm usually waiting for a sale.
Most of the people posting are young, with a very limited supply of cash, and some of them are dirty Indie/Sales-only gamers who aren't aware the costs of development.
I'm fully aware of the costs. I have money. But triple A after triple A, I keep running into very short lived mediocre games. Not to say most indie games are 'super long and super fun', but at least the time I spend on them is more worth the money. For example, Terraria and Valdis Story. I would've paid double for those. So I usually try to do something else to give back to those games. Like buying soundtracks, trying to get others to buy it, etc.
I'll probably pay the full $80-90 price tag for Left Alive though. Because I'm hyped for that.
