What cpu do you have?  I'm assuming it's not actually a pentium 3

damn so DHCP totally forgeted me over

I have re-enabled key authentication, with the limitation that it will not work on new IP addresses.  That means you can log in and play as normal, but only if your IP is the same as it was a few days ago (or the last time you logged in).

Question... how does this affect users where their ISP assigns them a dynamic IP address?
Is it limited to a single IP or a subnet?

Probably should update this.

when are we getting key auth/steam linking back

Will multiple dedicated servers at once be possible with steam?

dhcp only affects priavte ip addressing. your public ip is determined by your isp and thats what blockland sees
edit: im dumb, public ip's are also distributed over dhcp

What if I used a VPS to host? that means my key is used on two ip addresses

Tried renaming my alt, so I could host with an alt as opposed to my main and it auth failed, so yea, don't do that I guess.

Will my alt become usable again? (apparently it already has)

DO NOT CHANGE YOUR NAMES.

You are assuming when I said DHCP I was talking about a home router. My ISP gave me a modem that has a set lease time on my public IP.

There is also this issue. I used Windscribe to host servers, but not to join servers. I was using a 4G Hotspot before I had cable internet hooked up, and port-forwarding was not an option. That would show my IP from 2 different sources as well.

your isp uses dhcp to assign you an IP address, unless you pay for a static IP
