russians have been vilified and exploited for decades by liberals. don't forget that russian universities are /retroactively de-accredited/, meaning russian refugees cant find jobs theyre more than qualified for and russian students can't study abroad. additionally thousands of russian refugees are being held at the mexican american border citing "covid concerns" (+ hondurans mexicans colombians etc) while ukrainian asylum seekers are given a free pass no matter who they are. russian-american citizens being discriminated against and harassed in the workplace also have no mode of fighting it

+ the now constant erasure of russian culture from us media & entertainment is hilariously stupid. yuri gagarin & dostoyevskyy being no longer recognized as people who exist or had lives (?)

liberals love to casually dismiss the independent lives of people living under oppressive regimes by calling them "brainwashed" because the idea that there's a rational train of thought for hatred of outsiders while suffering in your own country is a threat to their beliefs
