ewaste garbage products from china.

Oh forget I hate that stuff, when I started seeing the vapes with little screens on them my first thought was "oh cool, free LED screen I can harvest for hobby projects" immediately followed by "oh stuff, wait, people are just going to throw these things away en masse, holy forget this is awful."

Oh, that's not concerning at all, not even the slightest bit

Oh forget I hate that stuff, when I started seeing the vapes with little screens on them my first thought was "oh cool, free LED screen I can harvest for hobby projects" immediately followed by "oh stuff, wait, people are just going to throw these things away en masse, holy forget this is awful."
It's actually insane.

For anyone who does not vape, here's a list of pieces to a vape:

Mod: The mod is the actual box that holds the PCB/ICs and battery, they do not need to have a PCB/IC but they commonly do to prevent blowing the battery up. They have the screen and power controls, a place to put your battery and a 510 connector to attach your atomizer

Atomizer: This piece connect to the female 510 adapter which connects to the battery. It houses the connections you put your resistance wire on.

Resistance wire: THIS is most likely the biggest danger in a vaporizer and the hot topic, in theory you do NOT want abuse the wire and you should replace it fairly frequently. The resistance wire takes power from the battery to heat up in the same exact way a light bulb or a electric stove works. You string your cotton through a spiral of resistance wire.

Cotton: This is where your juice goes, it is another health hazard if it dries out and burns. THC vapes may not use cotton, my proper THC atmo (not what people typically use) works with a quartz rod wrapped in the resistance wire.

Juice: The actual juice, it's made of vegetable glycerin (VG), polypropylene glycol (PG) or a mixture of both, it can also include nicotine or THC. This is another health hazard, nicotine gives you cancer full stop. (I lied oops) VG/PG is commonly used in all sorts of things, lube, food to fog machines.

In a nut shell we stopped being able to get juice properly at a good price, suddenly the only people who could legally sell it were the people selling disposable junk. Annoying Orange basically made vapes flip from being self made linux boxes to chrome books. You can not check how much juice is in the tank, you can not see the quality of your wire or your cotton, there's no feed back. There's no difference between a disposable vape and a proper one, the only difference is you can't replace the parts that cost pennies also disposable vapes cost the same as a full blown proper vape.

-vape snip-
nicotine is not what gives you cancer, it's the other chemicals and carcinogens that do. nicotine is actually commonly occurring in nature and many plants from the nightshade contain nicotine including tomatos and eggplants.

propylene glycol is arguably the most dangerous chemical in vapes, and whatever artificial chemicals they use for the flavorings. if you can, use a juice thats VG only.

the main thing that pisses me off about these disposable vapes with the LED screens is that you can recharge them but you can't refill them with your own juice, which is the dumbest thing ever creating a ton of e-waste

Shots fired at Whitehouse today.

Reports of gunfire, between 20 and 30 shots, were heard by reporters stationed outside the whitehouse. Secret service ushered them inside to safety.
This happened like 30 mintues ago so I have no other info.

Update: at least two people shot, one was a possible suspect. The men were fired upon by secret service agents, it is unclear whether the second person who was shot was also a suspect or just a bystander.

The suspect now deceased from the gunshot wounds he suffered, has been identified as Nasire Best, known to local law enforcement from previous encounters, and suffered from mental health concerns. The  firefight errupted as Best shot at members of the Secret Service near a checkpoint for entering the Whitehouse grounds. It is unclear who was responsible for shooting the bystander, who is not currently believed to have been a co-conspirator.

Best had been detained twice in 2025 by police after making threats against secret service agents. According to The Post, part of his delusions included that he was Jesus Christ returned.

Guess this explains why he skipped Don Jr.'s wedding this weekend.

Annoying Orange's response of course is to doubledown on this being the reason he needs ballroom. Because everyone knows if he had ballroom this guy outside of the whitehouse would never have been able to open fire on secret service agents outside of the whitehouse. And if there wasnt ballroom then these agents would never have been able to stop the guy they just stopped outside the whitehouse.

YES. Exactly! You'll give me a way to reuse a battery but not a way to refill my juice, insane.

I don't vape, but my ex did and when we got together he had a mod we called "the gameboy" cause it looked like one, but those things were one time buy and then refillable til it stopped working. When we had to switch back to disposables it was already bad enough, but then seeing all of those screens is just disheartening.

while you are distracted with this gay stuff they are building 3,000 data centers to mass surveillance us

from election fatigue to assassination fatigue

"I don't vape" "We" Average nicotine enjoyer. jkjk

Another nasty thing is if you can't open the vape you can't tell if dirt has gotten inside of it.

aw man I barely missed a "Someone else has posted before you" :(

"I don't vape" "We" Average nicotine enjoyer. jkjk

lolol ok I know how that sounds but truthfully I'm not a vaper. I'm that bitch that social smokes every time I'm that drunk, outside the bar in between rounds being like "eh, y'all smoking, can I bum one" and I never have one to bum for you because I don't buy any nicotine product. I've smoked I think 10 cigarettes in 25 years of being around smokers, and I've probably taken a cumulative four puffs off of vapes just to taste whatever new flavor my ex was into lol

Last vape post since it's only sort of related to politics:

The inside of a fully used disposable vape, you'll notice there's very very little color change to the wick and also due to the mesh style coil they use it has been barely worn. (Can't see that though)

You could literally fill this with juice and use it again if the battery could be trusted but doing so would be kind of pointless since there's better mods for sale.
