Re: Lich king in Cataclysm

In Cataclysm, the Lich King will be dead. Killed by 25 Heroes. His corpse will be #*@%***#@!#**@*% and the mighty Tauren Paladin Dêáthców will carry Frostmourne.
Shortly after 54644 goblins and worgen death knights will travel to Icecrown to get their Frostmournes. Then Deathwing is killed by 25 players. Some will wield Frostmournes and yes. some will be night elf mages and Tauren Paladins.

When everyone is a legendary hero, noone really is.

Why weren't we dead and in the Lich Kings service by the time we got to Icecrown? Because Arthas is the dominant personality, and he is an arrogant fool.

WC3 Lich King = Ner'zhul.
WoW Lich King = Arthas.

Thats the difference. How many times could he have killed you from 70-80? about a dozen. Ner'zhul was cold and calculating, he planned everything years in advance and if it had been Ner'zhul he would of killed us long before we got to Icecrown. Arthas is trying to be like Ner'zhul and lead us down a path that would corrupt us. But he doesn't realize not everyone is as fallable as Arthas Menethil.

In fact when one looks at it the very character traits that made Arthas so perfect to corrupt are now becomming the Scourges undoing. Arthas isn't content with simply being the Lich King, he feels he has to play the part aswell. Sparing your life because he finds your complete disruption of his invasion into Zul'Drak, and your betrayal of his lieutenant 'amusing' for example. If Ner'zhul was in charge would he of given you the reprieve? probably not. The Scourges expansion and conquest was so deadly because it was so ruthless. There was no joking or playing around like Arthas has done since he gained control. Everything Arthas has done seems half assed to be honest. So either he has a huge surprise in the Citadel waiting or he's just overconfident and has lost it. As you go through Icecrown you find that he is getting more and more annoyed with it all, so apart from the obvious 'surprises' like Bolvar, I really don't think he has much left up his sleeve.

What happens to the Lich King? only Blizzard know. We know something 'interesting' happens to Frostmourne, which is strange in itself. Is the power in Arthas' body now, or is it still in the armour? if it is in the armour then it is possible the Lich King as a power could survive...in the body it is less likely, but then doesn't Frostmourne steal souls? so you really never know, whoever picks up Frostmourne could become the new Lich King by some bizarre twist...even if it is unlikely. As far as Arthas is concerned though I think he'll be finished.

I don't like the Troll Druids. It just doesn't make sense. Trolls are tribal and shamanistic, not conservative nature-lovers D:

Tauren Paladin is also stupid.

-snip-
I'm having trouble understanding what point was trying to be made here. :S

Also, Arthas isn't playing around, he's just arrogant.

Shamanism is apparently closely related to druidism (can't remember if I read this during a quest in game or in one of the books).

Tauren following the power of the light... well we will just have to find out what the lore behind that is won't we?

Weee.

Took way too long, Some jerks were healing him.

Holy crap o.0.

If I can find a level 80 warlock on Darrowmere  I might be able to get brewmaster

I thought that the Lich King didn't kill everybody in the first place because of the fact that a bit of Arthas was still somewhere inside holding him back. Supposedly, Frostmourne stole his soul and made him controllable by the Lich King.
