The felguard pulls about 1-1.5k DPS single target depending on your gear, so I never understood how people could get under 4k. I should go on my warlock and just spam shadow bolt and see if I can pull over 3k.

You can probably get more than that. My lock has roughly the same level of gear as you and was getting like 5k-5.5k before 4.0.1 as Destruction.

My boomkin gets from 8.5k-10k dps on single target and like 15k+ on AoE pulls.

That's a lot of work when the original UI is perfect.

Well, you could use a Heroic Target Dummy maybe? That gives you a good indication of what your DPS is under perfect conditions (i.e. no fight mechanics) as well as what it is without any raid buffs. Just practice your rotation on that, that's generally what I do.

I did 4.5k DPS with felguard and shadowbolt only. Also there is this guy named tailsalot on my server that acts exactly like tails and I always think it actually is him.

I do that, you're an OP pally though get over it. Your avenger's shield hits for more than my ambush and you can insta heal yourself every couple of seconds. If anyone fights a prot pally besides a healer they are handicapped, I usually won't even waste an attack chain on a pally. If you want people to stay and fight you try using a viable pvp spec.

Damn mages and warlocks frost novaing and fearing because they are terrified of my uber prot pally, and don't get me started on healers casting heals on themselves. Why can't they just stand still and let me slowly beat them to death with my superior PVE spec.
