I've had spore installing the patch for ages now, it had a few half-hour long fits but now it's actually patching :D

Edit: It patches a bit, then screws up for a while, then patches some more, etc. etc.

took me 20 mins and 2 pc freezes (not major, only about 20 seconds each)

Took me a few hours with multiple freezes lasting up to half an hour at a time with one restart and then a diskcheck.
