I seem to have lost this kind of passion and will for building. It was good fun in the start and very funny when I got better at building.

But lately, i've been getting bored, yes bored. Bored by building stuff. As you moste likey know, my part of blockland belongs to the huge'ness (All of your hugeness are belong to us) but it seems that it no longer makes me exicted or happy. Even at bigger and more complicated build makes me, bored. It is simply not enough.

Blockland has run trugh me like a swift tidelwave and then dissappeard like a helpless man in quicksand. I'm telling you this becouse I still have some faith in the Blockland community, that some people around here still care for its members.

Anyone got a suggestion on what I might do to get rid of this "boredom"?

god i kept my "interest" for a lot longer for you but now its completly gone and i have not played blockland for a month now >.> and i don't want to

Take time off and then do what I do these days, just try different mods. I always end up back playing the newer TBM however since it seems to let me be most creative when trying to build. Plus I love gobbles's maps, a very strong sense of place and style that's conducive to my brand of creativity. Or play Vanilla, I love playing that these days, too.

That's how I got my interest in Blockland back.

I too am slowly running out of ideas, but i'm begingin to get more interested in making deathmatches, unfortunatly with rtb, there is no "reset scores option" or any decent weapons, i find that deathmatching, no matter how hard you try will stay UNbalanced in RTB.

i can see where this come from,me myself, when im bored. i just get a few close friends on and do something crazy. or take a break and play another game, but i think that the community is doomed to loose all it big players, but this will let new builders shine, since the styles you guys have done is well...done,they'll think of something new and show it,its a big cycle with hardly any constants. im not saying you(the peeps above myself) are nessecarly starts, but major players none the less.(im not saying your stars either) antwho.......go play morrowind......that game has toomuch possibility(i beat a kurby game while my friend did a conversation.....ONLY ONE) peace

learn how to mod/model/map, you won't be bored, trust me on that.

so, at some point out in the unknown future, if i hold on to blockland, i'm gonna be one of the oldies? one of the people you ask for advice, the one who you respect and question? Now that, thats my goal. I know it sounds very stupid, and proplly silly to moste people, but I think, thats what I want.

i find that deathmatching, no matter how hard you try will stay UNbalanced in RTB.
I may have something in the near future to solve that. ;)

If you guys still have ideas you're lucky. I've run out of ideas so I haven't played BL in 2 months.

I got an idea but its pretty sick, I say, we take the best builders (dunno who) and set up a dedicated server and build something so big and so well made. And then we rejoice over the power of us all. I know it sounds crazy and moste likely thrown away but it would be the greatset of the greatest.

I have as well become bored of building. I have ideas that nobody has touched before with a style that nobody has seen. I just don't have the time to put in to a build with school and what not. I mean, I could just play Call of Duty and get an adrenaline rush, or sit and get little to no contempt out of building. I don't see very good build when I go onto servers. Usually there's just these crappy unproportionate builds that have no appeal to me. And then we have your house. The most common build, and the easiest, at least that's my opinion. People gasp at a house just because they but a working door on it, a chimney, some windows, railings and symmetry. Try making a head with a working mouth, or some futuristic castle-like building from Half life.

And all these techniques for making this game less boring to you, they don't work. I've done mapping, modeling, and modding. The only one I like and still do is modeling. Learning how to do these things wasn't very fun either. All you need is a good idea. I have that, just I don't have the time to do it. I say start off trying to build a castle, then just add different ideas into it. It's what I do. Like a fortress/castle/warehouse/office building.

I lost interest, even after learning the basics of mapping.

Modeling is fun, if you are good at it...
