All of my first Lego sets were Bionicles, from '97 and onward...

That's why I was so crushed to hear that the series was being discontinued.

Oh, the ThrowBots/SlizeBots/SomethingBots and the Roboriders? Oh maaan, those things were pretty sick. I knew a kid in 2nd grade who collected Bionicle and the Bot guys

my parents bought a huge bag of lego on ebay before people realized you could resell for a good price and at that point I had around my weight in lego
Had a good few rock raiders pieces and some early alien set pieces as well
