My model concept for Grapple Rope.

Some progress on the basketball I started who knows how many months ago. Mostly small tweaks. It still needs a lot of fine tuning and I'm still missing David J. Stern's signature. I already got the texts and NBA logo but I didn't put them on yet. The decals on the ball are vectors so I can scale them and do multiple resolution textures easily. By the way these balls are actually UV mapped at 4096, no procedural textures. The vent is huge (and normal mapped) and I need to fix that.

The Spalding logo doesn't have the dimple things on it.

Just made this for my first model.

Yeah, this was my first time UV mapping and I couldn't fit the texture into the can all the way. Thanks for the tips.

Depends on the version of the ball. I'm making the "official game ball" used in NBA games and it has the nibs for the Spalding logo. NBA Development League ball doesn't have the nibs on the logo as it's made from the same leather as the black parts. NBA street basketball also has leather for the Spalding logo. NBA All-Stars ball has rubber for the logos. There are also versions of the official game ball that has leather for the Spalding logo so I guess I'll make two textures for the ball. It's not particularly hard.
