Ok.
Not saying anything inflammatory.
Scratch that.
The details of the TBM exploit have been uncovered by Harold "LabRat" Brown of the Torque community.
For complete information, see this thread.
Basically, TBM detects AiO installations and compromises them so that anyone can connect to the compromised server and then proceed to upload and execute any script they want. There are a number of things a malevolent person could do to a compromised server including overwriting all of the script files, effectively removing the entire game.
If you have installed TBM at any point in the past, I am forced to recommend that you delete your Blockland directory and re-install the game.
Im sorry what?
The original TBM threatened
All in One.
TOB does NOT threaten Retail installs because some of our users have tried my method for using the developer code, and one of them actually owns Retail and plays sometimes.
I am curious as to your reasoning.
Furthermore, although the 'entire' community may/may not be perverts, furries, and every other base insult imaginable, as well as 'hell bent' and 'devoted' to hacking Blockland, we sure as hell aren't using TBM 2 right now.
AiO isn't around now, and TOB is entirely un-DSO'd, except for engine files, so you are welcome to trawl through them, so I am curious as to why we are still considered evil because all the original developers have left, and there is no proof that can be given to show we have code that will harm Retail installs.
In fact, if you take a good look at it, we have a range of people in the community, and, just like Retail's forums, contains a wide spectrum of people.
And now I will watch as all flames roll in, again.
Your players call for maturity, yet never seem to be able to deal it out where required.
