used to be doing crackpack before the server was kill
then went and started doing 7DTD, the 404 challenge, more 7DTD, and now the sims

modded minecraft is amusing with how many performance issues it has

My MC account got hijacked (but I solved it).
How do these people just find accounts to hack? I almost never play servers and I've changed my username a few times.
And also, is there any way to prevent this from happening again?

sometimes people just get randomly targeted, there's undoubtedly a large market for cheap minecraft accounts

use a more secure password that isn't used by any other account you own

I'm guessing they just use a scraper and connect to a larger server to scrape usernames, rinse and repeat until they have a big list, and try to bruteforce them with a dictionary of likely passwords.

This is the reason Mojang requires email authentication now to do most anything with an account.

I once got hijacked by someone that really wanted my account. Hacked both my mail account and minecraft account. He sold it to someone that had a cringey youtube channel. I got the account back. I did not bully the cringey kids' youtube channel.
