Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6805186 times)

I am looking to play Minecraft with some people.
You must have Skype and a microphone, I will give you the IP to my server through Skype/Steam.
Edit: Steam will work as well as long as you have a microphone.

and all these are reasons why sticking to my beloved 1.7.3 yogbox world until 1.8 gets its stuff together is a good idea.

I normaly get less than 30 fps on my sister's computer which is a decent gaming computer, stop whining you babies.
In fact, I'm lucky if I hit 30 fps.
Yes, I am so very sorry for complaining because I used to get 60+ FPS and now I get less than 30 FPS because of the update.
forget off.

No. :D

Look, you can talk about having only ~30 fps all you want, and it's not even that bad once you get used to it.

And my computer ran Minecraft at around 7 fps and often crashed my computer so I just gave up on that all together, meaning I can only play on my sister's computer.

Damn, that's pretty bad.
I run a lot faster at normal draw distance, but I didn't get that high of a performance in 1.7.3.
hmm

Does anyone have a server running with standard survival rules? i.e. pretty much anything goes

No. :D

I am not going to get used to it. Infact, I'm not even going to deal with it. 1.8 has some serious issues if it's lowering my performance this much by one update. I'm not going to even play it.

I just started one. I can PM you the IP if you want.

I would love to play 1.8, but I can't seem to log into Minecraft due to the massive traffic I'm guessing.

Well let me know when you're done refining and fixing code so you can have +10 fps so you can plant your wheat faster or whatever having more fps does.

Am I the only one who still gets really good performance with 1.8 except for when it's rendering a new area? :o Granted I had to change a few setting to get it to run well (Max FPS thingy, normal draw distance and fast graphics)...

Can't you just play offline? Or does the new login screen not allow that? I'm still stuck with the old login screen, mine never updates :P

Still running on a constant 50-90 FPS for me.

Hopefully Optifog/whatevers will get updated soon though, with that I got like 250-350 FPS.

Am I the only one that can run this decently? :|
Me.

No, I can.
But some people whine about losing a few FPS that will be fixed by a future update they're too impatient to wait for or the Optifine mod once it's updated to 1.8.
