OptiFine adds a large view distance, But I haven't used it because as you said java is stuffty and I figured it would run like stuff.

Well I guess I won't be able to play minecraft anymore until i get a new computer :c
I was able to play 1.7 just fine with optifine and it was great but after 1.8, even with optifine, the lag makes the game frustrating and unplayable

I believe that is the ip that works.
