I don't see why anyone would mine like you do, unless you're spelunking. If you mine like that in hopes of getting ore you're not going to hit much. Branch mining is where it's at yo.

i mine how i do since when I go into caves I tend to get loss ( i don't do any put torches on your left sort of thing) and I generally splunk i just enjoy doing it that way I guess.

every cave that i have spelunked in, I just place torches everywhere and go in and out until i memorize the mines.
I did have one bad cave mining where i would keep getting turned around in the cave but oh well

i've just gone back in my memory and looked at how different i used to mine.

before beta 1.7 i use to corkscrew mine to bedrock and then branch mine. and in beta 1.7 i made a staircase to bedrock branched mine and beta 1.8 afterwards i mine in a straight direction splunking.

has anyone else here changed there mining behaviors? drastically or stuck with the same mining behaviors throughout the versions?

Actually seems kind of stupid. Although I'd want to be able to play Minecraft, why bother taking down the websites if you'll leave the game up? Doesn't make sense to me, there isn't nearly as much impact when we almost never use the site.

Will you pay attention? And this is Jeb's call now. Notch doesn't do anything. Why are so many people suddenly cropping up lately blaming stuff on Notch when they are mainly Jeb's doing?
