Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it

We rarely do snapshot updates to fix bugs, but since 21a contained an annoying bug that made it hard to play single-player we decided to do one this week. There are still problems, but we’re getting there!

We added a new creative mode inventory screen, please let us know what you think (target @Dinnerbone or @EvilSeph)! We also updated the language files to correct the diamond/emerald mix-up in the language files (diamonds were previously called emerald in the code, which caused a lot of confusion when we added a real emerald item). We had to ban another translator for griefing… it’s astonishing how much work some people put into these things… :)

emeralds are useless to me until they get used in a crafting recipe, cause trading is just not my thing.

Why I love emeralds.

Start fresh.
Find town.
Villager offers 1 emerald for 20 wheat.
Get wheat from town's farm.
Trade 1 emerald for shears with other villager.
Shear sheep until lots of wool.
Trade lots of wool for emeralds.
Trade emeralds for diamond chest plate from blacksmith.
Not a single block was mined that day.

MCX360 Breaks Record, Beats Black Ops


MCX360 has been climbing the charts since launch, breaking records and drawing in more players every day. Recently, it broke another unprecedented record - pushing COD: Black Ops out of the #2 Top LIVE Games spot! Since the launch of Modern Warfare 3, COD: Black Ops has held the #2 Top Game spot for XBox Live constantly.

MW3 and COD:BO have been staples of the XBOX library since launch, and despite some criticisms have maintained their hold as top titles nearly since they launched. Minecraft is the first game to disrupt these titles' seemingly endless reign on the Top XBox Live Games chart. Congrats, Minecraft!

The menu itself is in 12w21b. Dinnerbone seems responsible for that new Creative Mode menu. As for searching up potions, that's for the next snapshot. Those screenshot are from Dinnerbone.

Personally, I don't like how big the tabs are. But Dinnerbone responded to a tweet from a texture pack maker saying he'd fix up the menu so people can make texture packs for it. Hopefully someone can clean it up. :)
