Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6737791 times)

I can't. It won't recognize the mcforge file. It's a known issue. I have to do it manually. However winzip loving Self Deletes over that aux.class file.
Use 7zip.

It is...

EXCELLENT

just use powered rails?

This is why they were cool.

They were complicated and you needed to learn how to use them to be able to use them so it added more depth to the game.

yeah boosters were cool as heck imo

yeah they were pretty cool, but i never really used them for anything except a boost for one cart so powered rails work fine for me

question:

Is it still possible to drag the .class files into the bin/minecraft folder? I don't get this new forge bullstuff.

you drag the minecraft forge files into the .jar

you put your actual MODS into the mods folder inside your .minecraft folder.

Use 7zip.

that's not the problem you forgetnut.

from the millenaire wiki:

so yeah, you're doing it wrong, if you're putting the class files in the jar.

you don't do that anymore with forge mods (in most cases), usually you just put the .zip in the mods folder. it's best to just look up an installation tutorial just in case, but that's usually how it goes

I said this already, I know how to install everything. I know how to install millenaire. You're missing the entire loving goddamn problem. It's not installing millenaire that's the problem. It's installing mcforge. There is .class file in the .jar that uses a reserved windows name. Which makes it impossible to add mods. Winzip loving has a stroke when you open minecraft.jar to install MCFORGE.

You must have not even played it if you're being serious.

multiMC makes installing forge and other mods really easy. that'd probably be your best bet.

Yeah, there's way more than that.

I think I'm in the thousands concerning woodplanks.
all thanks to treecapitator and condensed blocks mod.

so I'm going into thaumcraft pretty much blind, only having played with the earlier version of the mod a little and seeing the preview videos in the mod thread

having a good time so far, got a nice pile of amber and just found a pair of greatwood trees and a silverwood, the latter is hella pretty

I'm still mad Boosters were removed rather then utilized.
How dare they fix something that's broken! After all, we need something to abuse!
