I'd really love to get back into tekkit, a good moderated server :(

Too bad no one wants to host Tekkit anymore because "FTB is better hue hue" even thought both have their Ups and Downs.

FTB is loving stuff and laggy, the servers barely work.

Tekkit was fine, at least I could run it decent and the servers were decent too :(

If you enjoy Tekkit, you may want to try the Universal Electricity Pack from the FTB Launcher. There's a no-pvp well-moderated server for it that is by-default set with the package.

Technic has the same Universal Electricity Pack

tekkit is stuff due to the mere fact that it is severely outdated.

That's sort of why I stick with it, 1.2.5 could run smoothly on my computer.

Which is a problem on Mojang's part. They havent really done any huge optimization for minecraft in forever.

I know, and it's not even like the game looks/IS even that nice on a fancy computer either.

Hosting a Vanilla server; no pvp; no being a friend.

You know, I can't say I remember them ever optimizing Minecraft. The game would run so much better if Jeb took a while to clean up the code, assuming he's marginally better than Notch is at coding.

Shaders are always an option for fancy computers
