the solar apocalypse mod is literally an apocalypse, you can combine it with things like millenaire or tale of kingdoms, if you really want to see how janky mods can get

Personally, I liked having the entire tower rigged to always keep itself clear, but most people specializing in redstone seem to prefer keeping the mechanics at the bottom.
