I couldn't run the grass mod because it would interfere with my FancyPack. :/

Also, I deleted the human mod and replaced it with Mo' creatures.

If I remember correctly, portals can randomly spawn in the world.

Are they supposed to do that? One time on one of my saves that I've had since before the Halloween update, a portal spawned in the middle of my house and came very close to spawning over my chest full of saddles and records.

Yes, yes they do that. Ive been continents away(not really, but far enough to piss me off) from my base because of stray portals. These stuff literally bring you everywhere.

I made a portal to the Nether but the area it teleported me to is really small, and I am mining but cannot seem to reach any large caves, and when I mine down, I usually hit Bedrock 2 blocks below me. Is this normal?

I've noticed that some people had the same, but instead when they dug downwards, they landed into one large cave with lava beneath their falling doomed bodies.

'Luckily' i have a portal to a very open area in the Nether.
However, Portals raped my savefile (they appeared everywhere, even as the blocks of one of my houses. ;_;) and after many portals appeared i got the savefile = 0.0 mb glitch.
How coincidental, i guess the portals ate all of my savefile. :C
I could still acces it though.
