I think I just put the files in minecraft.jar. Nothing into the Gui specifically. Also after installing an individual mod, start up minecraft to see if you did it right so you know what the exact problem is.
Also, did you delete META-INF?

Yes i deleted it. But i deleted it after i put in the .class files.

What do i do with the .png files if you didnt but them into the gui?

I think I just put them there. And I think the order in which you do the installation matters

You need modloader for it to work apparently.

I have the modloader. I might not of installed it correctly

Edit: Ill just try reinstalling it. can i just delete the minecraft jar and open minecraft to reinstall it?

Ok. Well ill figure it out, I just want to get this strait. I know how to DL modloader now.

But for the mini-map, I put the class files int he jar, But what do i do with the .png files exactly.
