Hey guys, I'm a player on the Super Earth server and I've wanted to come up with a way to make money. I've thought about an insurance company, to where it would cover greifing done to the player, such as items stolen from chests or furnaces, house destruction via hand, tool, or fire, or loss of items, and they would promptly be paid the amount of money that their things were worth based on a chart of values for items.
I have, however, come across some problems with this. For one, how would I know about items that were destroyed or stolen? And about the fee they would have to pay for the coverage, when would they pay? I can't base it off of Minecraft days because I can't be on the server 24/7 to count the days, and because of the shutdowns and restarts, I wouldn't be able to calculate days either. I could base it off of real days, a weekly payment might work.
I also have trouble with organization, not sure if I'll be able to keep a list of more than 10 clients if I ever get that many.
At first I wanted to open a restraunt, which seems much less painful to run and manage than an insurance company, which one should I go with?
