If you cant open doors or destroy blocks in another factions territory, wouldnt just having a door on the front make it safe? :s
Because people have TNT. You can also place water and swim up the sides of buildings before the water disappears due to the server sync.
When this is done it will be quite literally TNT proof. Most of the lower sections already are, and the upper section is partially. You can do a bit of damage to the outer shell but you're not getting any farther then that.
The tower is extremely easy to defend. There is a lava well inside, along with a lot of lava storage around the tower. Lava can be used to curtain the outer walls if need be. We're installing a 360 degree firing TNT cannon inside the main tower. Inside the main tower section, and the base section, is an obsidian lattice. And the storage room is completely encased in obsidian with two doors, one of which is protected from TNT blasts. And as a kicker one of the towers coordinates is 1337. I'm not telling you whether it is negative or positive, and I'm not giving the other coordinate(yet), just in case someone tries to disclose the location. (But we're allies anyway, so if you do I'm going to rip you all a new starfish)
Also this thing just looks awesome and is fun to build. That's enough of a reason to build it.
