I'mma go for a "Last Days" sorta texture pack, only 16x16 and with my own ideas.

And maybe some custom sound replacements like in the planned future of Last Days.

OH, and it'd have some kind of support for Mystic Ores and the Aether mod.

A few things which annoy me about the wasteland mod
Creepers have 2x radius
bonemeal can make grass
Trees without leaves look bad, at least make it so the leaves can't drop saplings
