It's a player-made concept of a Silverfish. It's one of the new mobs, and according to the wiki they're popping out of blocks every so often and attack.

I hate the Ogres in Mo Creatures, They destroy my house EVERY loving TIME.

You CAN disable them via the options after all.

I have a stuffload of stuff readied for it. MCedit my world into a 1.8 one and FIGHT.
Also this game needs exoskeletons that let you punch further and carry 9 items extra.

I'm allready using a nice program I stumbled on called Minecraft Structure Planner to work on plans for a castle I want to make in a 1.8 world :3 Not able to do too much complex planning (like tracks and doors) but gets the job done for floorplans.
