Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6828154 times)

Stop acting like a child then. Creepers have been doing the same thing in the same since they were added bloody ages ago, How about you make better houses? Stop trying to fix walls in the middle of the night?

There explosions don't affect stone much, you could always avoid some damage by including stone frames and such in your builds.

Lol clearly you've got me pegged.
I forgot creepers only explode at night, Clearly tails.

It just comes down to
"Build things better"

Walk ways above places to kill them
More then one door out
Underground ways out
Reinforced walls

Anyone who does not build their home out of a stone of some sort is just asking for it to be burned down.

Also I think XP should be used in a skill system like Fallout 3 (maybe the others too, but I've never palyed any of them and only seen Eksi's LPs) where there are different skills, i.e.

Mining: The higher the bar is, the faster you mine. (when it is full, a diamond pick will mine faster than a golden, iron faster than diamond, stone faster than diamond and wood as fast as stone currently is)

Hunting: The higher the bar is, the damage you attack passive mobs with is boosted. (when it is full, fists do 2.5 hearts of damage to them)

Swiming: The higher the bar is, the faster you can swim. (when it is full, you can swim like a pro [about 4 blocks a second)

Agility: The higher the bar is, the faster you can run and jump higher. (when it is full you can run twice the normal speed and jump 2.5 blocks high [2 blocks longer when sprint-jumping])

And more I'm too lazy to list, and to balance this out XP orbs are rarer (passive mobs do not drop any, hostile mobs drop 1 and ender pearls can be crafted into 2), and dying would make you lose your XP orbs, along with any ender pearls you had.

It might be a little too nerfed but I don't want it to be easy because of the rather OP skills (which really can't be nerfed otherwise there is no point in getting XP orbs)

Wait...I hope this is sarcasm.

If you find creepers overpowered, I doubt you will be having any fun in any kind of game that has some form of fighting.

And I'm sure there is at least one single player mod that disables creepers.

I've been loving around with different texture packs and I just found this one: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/345738-32x-18x-derivation-rpg-stylized-pack-v24/
-snip-

It makes me feel like I'm playing an old zelda game or something with limited colors. I wish it was 16x though.

I admire the work they put into it, but it wouldn't really fit the game's model style. It is a very nice pack, though.

Yes, he was.

The problem with Creepers is they rarely make sound until they're right on top of you. I've shown screenshots of like 3-4 Creepers all sneaking up on me at the same time. And this was coming out of a small entrance to an underground layer, so I couldn't really watch all directions. I'd like Creepers to make some noise indication, even if it's extremely faint, just to avoid it being 100% unexpected. Really annoying when they pop out of absolutely nowhere and explode.

Creepers are loving easy to avoid. Just stop inhaling paint thinner and you'll be just fine

That's the whole loving point.

The point is to have a full health bar, walk out of that Abandoned Mine after avoiding all the mobs and lava, and just suddenly explode and lose all your stuff at once?

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/626786-v03-stronghold-finder/

Apparently, this gets within 200-300 meters of Strongholds. Although I'm having a hard time finding mine right now, could someone else try it and tell me if they find it?

Optifine is taking too long to update, Anything else to make my FP's go higher?

Hell yes, that Stronghold locator works. It's just very imprecise. But I tried the last one first accidentally, then the first. Both I could not find at all. Then I did the second one. As I got to the area it said, I noticed light in the water. One of those JUST underground lavapits that fills with water. I dug around, heard spiders, and blasted the area with TNT. Stone bricks EVERYWHERE! :D Time to seal up the watery holes and explore.

Heck yes.
