Eye of Ender isn't actually the eye of an Enderman. It's Blaze Powder crafted with an Ender Pearl. But then why does it look like an eye, and why does it repair portals to the Sky Dimension... Unless... Endermen are Sky Dimension Monsters? Maybe they emit Nether particles because they are from the Sky Dimension, tainted by The Nether, and forced to live in the world in between!

endermen: mix breed between inhabitants of the sky dimension and the nether. due to this mix, half breeds are forced to live in minecraftia, the world between these two dimensions.

Apparently, The Ender will be the Sky Dimension. It will have Ender Dragons... So this means I might be correct: Endermen are Ender creatures, corrupted by The Nether, and forced to live between the two.

For example, on the page for snow, there is the "trivia": "Usually it starts to snow at night or at dusk." That is not trivia. There are a lot more, but you can just look for yourself. Almost every page has them.

"New World" for 1.9 pre 3.

Go down the coastline, with the ocean on your left.  You'll see two giant glass pillars (debug to find strongholds maybe?), and those will lead you to a stronghold.

Not sure you can replace it unless you change how it writes out. Also, they're used for the particle effect of letters flying from nearby bookshelves to the Enchantment table.

In Beta 1.9 Pre-release 3, it seems Strongholds spawn at about the center of the map.
