Seriously, why would being dirty make your sight diminish?

well do you want it to not affect you in any way or what

dirt in face makes it harder to see. i just want a punishment for not taking a damned shower.

Dirt on the screen is a perfectly fine reminder that, hey, wash the hell up you dirty bum. I'd imagine tracking dirty footprints would also be cool.

I can imagine going to the status screen and seeing, next to the inventory, an ailment effect. Like, say, "Miner Sickness", with bouts of nausea, slowness and blindness. Unlike debuffs, milk won't help, but you could brew medicine that chips away at the sickness or sleep it off like a real man.

YES. i was staying away from adding any GUI to it really much, but that seems like it'd fit just fine.

and footprints would be awesome too!

that's what i was saying, it'd let them detect you easier. (not to mention smp..)

also maybe somebody should create a thread for mc mod ideas, just so they aren't forgotten in the pages?
