SOPA doesn't do anything special, only islands.

Seeds are completly random.

I'm sure they could easily manipulate certain seeds to have special things on them, but as of now all known seeds are presumed to be random.

NPCVILLAGES has an NPC village with a stronghold underneath it right in front of where you spawn.

I did that PIPA seed in the new Snapshot, and found this nearby. Never seen stone form like this before, some bug with lava lake generation? Or have I just never witnessed random smooth stone generating on the surface because a lava lake didn't generate high enough?
