i made a nether portal
then when i got into the nether, my portal was entirely closed off
i was like "ok i guess i'll dig"
i dig downwards until i hit bedrock, nothing.
i dug upwards until i hit bedrock, still no opening
is my nether just a huge block of netherrack or am i just not doing it right

Happened to me once. You probably just spawned in a big netherrack concentration. Your best bet is to either dig horizontally or INVEdit some TNT to bust out.

the end needs some work. as etho says, it is really lacking. i think the boss needs to be harder, and the end needs more possibilities.

Anyone else this would be amazing if done? I do. And if they do add Jungle-Specific mobs, maybe they'll add Lions with Monkeys... In the meantime, could someone please make the attempt? :D

The new tree texture is added in there. What perplexes me is the two new ones near the bottom. They look like some sort of stone with gold chunks in it. The only mention of it I found was some random person calling them gold leaves. But if you shift the texture to be green, those shouldn't be gold anymore. So what the hell are they?

also, shifting it would make a yellowish green, maybe it's some sort of fruit?

I did that PIPA seed in the new Snapshot, and found this nearby. Never seen stone form like this before, some bug with lava lake generation? Or have I just never witnessed random smooth stone generating on the surface because a lava lake didn't generate high enough?

I FOUND OUT SOMETHING
TRY THE SEED:
"PIPA"
will spawn you near a destroyed village

And this underground lava lake is pretty common, IMO.
