That's always been an issue? Even back in Beta the creepers could find the most used exit to your house and sit by it.

FUNFACT: creepers are attracted to doors because gennerally, the alcove of a door is closer to you than the blocks of the wall. solution? make pistons that drop into a hole/lava to catch creepers before you leave.

if you place a door from the outside, there wont be an alcove, so the creeper wont be attracted to it.

Are you dumb?  Building under a mountain is probably like the best idea.  As long as you aren't a moron you can survive under a mountain, it's always my choice of first safehouse.  Then just dig above you for stone.

no i mean you can borrow into it but putting your house RIGHT under the mountain creepers will spawn up on the top and glitch out and blow you up and kill you when you leave you home. moron.
