Firstly

it’s worth noting at this point that Minecraft has made $80 million so far.
Secondly, go away EA, you ruin enough as it is
Thirdly, Mojang > EA
Fourthly, Gamasutra, I mean really?

Thirdly, Mojang > EA
Mojang has made and finished one game, and it isn't very good.
EA has made and finished very many games, some are good.

except EA completely monetized BF3 and probably some other game(s?)

Mojang didn't

Mojang didn't

The whole reason behind any company is gaining money.

Mojang realizes that if they want to get anywhere they have to gain money. I guess since most of them are swedish, money is a good thing.

Besides, monetizing isn't particularly a bad thing.

the monetization of bf3 doesn't really affect anybody much because the people that buy all the weapons still have no experience and will die.

There is inherit value in something you need to earn, making it possible to buy those items without earning lessens the value of the item. This is mainly why most MMOs don't allow people to buy items/gold for real money.

Don't mind me, I'm just switching rails for this topic.
Anyone know if 1.2.5 is going to be all bug fixes or if it will also have some new features?

Hilleman thinks the value in Minecraft to be had is in making its mods and installations more customer friendly. He came up with that idea after having to reinstall Windows on his son’s computer after a Minecraft-modding mishap
